The battery test button is standard on all emergency lights. By pressing the test button, the emergency light unit switches from AC power to emergency battery power, giving you a clear view of the remaining battery.
Fully charged batteries are in good condition and should be powered for at least 90 minutes as required by UL (Underwriters Laboratories). If the battery does not last for 90 minutes, it must be replaced. The UL 924 list is only for batteries that meet or exceed the UL rigorous testing procedures.
