Sometimes, air compressors have failures that do not breathe or have low air pressure. What are the reasons for this problem? What should we do?

1. The air compressor cylinder pad is flushed and leaks. The cylinder head should be replaced.

2. The partition walls of the inlet and outlet chambers are perforated and connected. The cylinder head should be replaced.

3. The air pressure indicator is out of order or the circuit is faulty. The performance is that it does not affect the brakes and the air is normal. The pressure gauge should be replaced.

4. The piston ring and the cylinder block are seriously worn, or the piston ring is broken and the cylinder is pulled. The piston ring and cylinder liner can be replaced according to the situation.

5. The pressure regulating valve cup is broken, accompanied by a continuous “哧哧” leaking sound; or the piston is stuck in the keyway, and no pressure can be established. Need to change the cup assembly and clean the pressure regulating valve.

6. The exhaust valve screw is loose or falling out. The valve plate is broken or cannot be fully opened, and the surface temperature of the air compressor is high. The exhaust valve screw can be screwed on or replaced.

7. The pressure regulating valve adjusts the pressure too low, or the spring that adjusts the pressure is broken. Use a screwdriver to turn the adjusting screw to 8 bar, and the pressure regulating valve starts to vent to the atmosphere, or replace the adjusting spring.

8. When installing, the cylinder head is reversed, the intake air becomes exhaust gas, and the air is reversed. The air compressor cylinder head is marked with a mark at the inlet and outlet: “S” is the air inlet and “D” is the air outlet. It should be removed and reinstalled.

9. From the outlet of the air compressor to the pipeline of the pressure regulating valve, there is a “beep” sound, and the connecting pipeline should be replaced.

10. The air intake valve of the air compressor falls or is padded with foreign matter, and the closing is not strict. The phenomenon is that the air inlet is touched by hand, and the temperature is also high. The elimination method is: removing the foreign matter and reinstalling the valve piece. If the valve piece is not flat or damaged, it should be replaced with a new one.

11. The air compressor gear slips. The air compressor gear and the shaft are taper and pressed by high torque to complete the torque transmission. There is no keyway. The reason for the slipping is generally that the torque of the tightening nut is not enough and loose. It can be reinstalled and tightened with a tightening torque of 200 to 300 Nm. Note: Loctite 242 anti-slack should be applied to the threaded part during installation.

The method for judging the air compressor gear slipping is: force the piston against the piston (upward), and move the flywheel to see if the air compressor piston is going up. If it does not move, the gear has slipped.
